PRICE
We have adopted the American way of
pricing, it seams to be a fair and
simple formula. Most prices prior to
the age of 6-8 weeks of age are
$2200 this includes desexing,
Vaccination, Socialising and a 2
year health guarantee. AT or around
the 6-8 weeks of age we assess the
puppies size and weight according to
birth weight, growth and genetic
[Parent] background, we can then
tell you more accurately if the
puppy will be a Tiny Pocket, Pocket
or Tiny Toy, If you have already
chosen and fully paid for your puppy
then you have a bargain as there is
no price change. but if the puppy is
available or only has a deposit the
puppy will be re-priced according to
his sex, colour and size.

Defining
a Pocket Poodle
What is a Pocket Poodle?
Simply put, a Pocket is a Height category
which means less than 7 1/2" American
Pockets should not be confused with tiny
litter runts called Teacup. Few Teacups born
in Australia from non imported specialized
breeding are prone to many heartbreaking
illnesses, Sadly few live beyond 3-4 years
of age.
Are Pockets common?
No.
They are very difficult to breed with most
Pocket Mums giving birth to only 1-2
puppies, These tiny babies need much care
over the first week around the clock until
they develop enough body fat to maintain a
safe temperature. The Bloodlines chosen to
bring to Australia are well known for there
solid bodies strong bones and robustness so
at 3 weeks of age they resemble more of a
fat wombat that a tiny breath of delight,
They seam to be able to maintain this solid
heavy state until around 8 months of age
then they suddenly become the swans there
parents promised us they would be so when
weighing my babies they will weigh amazingly
heavy.

Have
Pocket Poodles always existed?
Yes, But in Australia they are extremely
rare, most people call the more common
sickly runts teacup, and many are crossed
with Chihuahua to reduce size, but this is
far from a true American pocket who are
healthy and robust they are just the same as
a regular toy only micro size. In USA they
are more popular and bred by specialist
breeders, Pockets have also risen to stardom
because of all the publicity they have
received recently as a result of their
celebrity owners, and the ease of owning
such a wonderful little dog for inner city
apartment living. OUR Pockets and tiny
toys are taught to use a litter tray just
like a cat.
Why
are Our Pocket Poodles and Tiny Toy Poodles
so expensive?
Actually they are not once you sit down and
weigh up what you are getting for your
money, how often do you see a breeder who is
so confident with the health and quality
they breed that they give a 2 year health
guarantee!! There are lots of other factors
like, They are difficult and expensive to
breed, and they require a lot of extra
attention at birth. Since they are so Tiny,
often weighing 2-4 ounces at birth, they
require a lot of care and 24-hour attention
for first 1-2 weeks, Generally you will only
have 1-2 Pockets born in a Litter. Secondly,
The cost to bring to Australia true
genetically healthy robust specialist bred
tiny poodles cost the earth and the amazing
colours adds to the cost , So for a time
until more breeders start breeding for
true genetically small healthy Poodles
the cost will be higher than regular
everyday Poodles but the cost is far
outweighed by the confidence and joy of such
an amazing tiny dog, especially for those
who want allergy friendly non shedding AND
Tiny. Even longstanding breeders around the
world agree that just because both parents
are tiny does not mean the puppy will be
pocket size, on average 1 out of 30 born
will be a micro pocket [5 1/2 to 6 1/4" ]
then 1 out of 10 will be under 7" , then you
will get the gorgeous 7 -8 inch these are
the ones most suitable and safer to breed
with [if female] . they are also great in
families with younger children as they are
just that wee bit more solid boned and can
cope better in family households. The
age Ol saying---------You really DO get what
you pay for.
What
are the benefits of owning a Pocket or Tiny
Poodle?
Because of
their small size, Pockets and Tinnies are
extremely portable, making them a great
travelling companion for everyday activities
like going shopping, Visiting or dining out.
A Pocket poodle is great for senior citizens
who cannot lift heavy dogs, and they are
great for apartment owners because they
don't need to go for walks -- an apartment
provides all the exercise space they need.
They also can be trained to use doggy loos
or trays easily.
Lastly... maybe the biggest benefit is that
everybody loves puppies, and many dog owners
equate Pocket Poodles to having a dog that
always remains puppy size.
What
is the life expectancy of a Pocket and a
Tiny Poodle?
Contrary to popular belief, a Pocket Poodle
will usually live 15-20 years, which in many
cases is a better life expectancy than
bigger dogs.
